Italy is one of the key markets for renewable energies in the upcoming years. Beyond an increasing activity of project development without subsidies, in the last months a recent surge of developments related to a new possible scheme of incentives has been observed. In view of the imminent changes in EU legislation as regards the promotion of renewable energy sources, Italy will provide the new RES decree to be adopted by the end of the year. Such decree will enable the installation of more than 6.000 MW from new or existing plants subject to refurbishment. In addition to new developments, Italy, with 20 GW in solar and 9 GW in wind, is one of the countries in Europe with the highest installed capacity. For the existing assets, the improvement of performances is gaining importance in the agenda.
Vector Cuatro hosts ‘Presente e futuro delle energie rinnovabili in Italy’. A meeting that will take place on October 2nd in Milano and will bring together the main players in the italian green power industry.
